This is my first official blog post.
I've always used flickr for posting the pictures I take on an everyday basis, but I've decided that I wanted to take that a step forward, and create a blog that I can use to efficiently document my life and my photography. I'm a big fan of Joey Lawrence and Joe McNally's blog, and I was even inspired by my good friend Drew Osumi's blog (http://www.osumi.photography/osumi-blog/), and though he doesn't post pictures on it half as often as I think he should, I wanted to do something kind of similar. I felt like having a blog would motivate me to constantly produce creative new material, and I thought it would be a lot of fun. Anyways, here goes my first try!
These photos were taken as part of an unfortunate last minute project I had to get in for my MPD 300 class. I struggled with coming up with a good plan for how exactly I was going to carry out the project, and I hate going into an assignment unprepared.
The assignment was to photograph a block of space, and by block I don't mean cube, but rather, I literally mean a street or area of space that might fit the confines of a "block." We had a similar assignment a few weeks ago that instead confined the area to 10 feet of space. The change in criteria drastically changed the results of the assignment, and I wasn't very happy with some of that pictures I submitted. Nonetheless, here are a few of them.
